Our story
Three friends, two stores, one very delicious roll.
Norwood opened first. Rose Park followed. The bread is fresh every morning, the coffee's made properly, and the dogs that come past get a sneaky bit of roast pork. That's pretty much the whole story.

The build
Vietnamese fast food, done properly.
VDR opened on The Parade in Norwood in [YEAR], started by friends who wanted to do Vietnamese fast food properly. Hot bread baked nearby. Real Vietnamese coffee. Bowls big enough to share but priced like lunch.
The Norwood store grew faster than expected. The wall mural inside — the one with the three caricature heads above the VDR logo — is from the early days. A reminder that the founders are still in the room.
In 2024 we opened a second store in Rose Park, in The Parks Business Hub, to feed the lunch crowd that doesn't want to drive into Norwood.
The bread is fresh every morning. The coffee's from Sublime Roasters. The herbs and chilli are cut to order. That's pretty much the whole story.

The team
The people you see every day.
Same crew, most days. They know the regulars by order, not name. If you're a dog owner, they'll know your dog before they know you.
